Quick update

I've not really been doing anything much this week and the meals have been pretty boring.  We've made the switch from pork to chicken for most of our meal which hasn't been as bad as I expected but I still think roast chicken is the most boring roast meal going.

I've started on my gym instructors portfolio, one programme written for Ade to follow with me coaching him a few times a week and I'll give him his due he's been to the gym 4 times at 7.30am and has done what I've asked of him.  He's also finally stuck to his diet with no cheats at his mums and after having 3 weeks of gains he's managed to lose 4.2kg!  woohoo wtg Ade.  I don't massively follow my weight these days, I just check in now and again and trust that the way we eat isnt going to see me going in reverse and tighten the more calorific things like avocado, cheese and nuts if I'm at the higher end of my comfortable range.  But switching to chicken I thought I'd check it for a few weeks and I managed to lose a couple of pounds so I'm happy being at my lower range.  I could do to lose a few more stone so if it happens organically I'm pleased with it but I'm no longer interested in stressing over a scale.

After going round the gym floor with Ade and my friend Sarah it has made me realise that I need to do more lifting down there rather than just the classes.  Not just because it will make me more confident with the coaching but that kickboxing tournament is only 6 months or so away and I need to get a bit more power in my punches.  Which talking of, Nate and I are going to be doing our grading in a couple of weeks, our first in the no longer category.  It's going to be a full 2 hour grading this time but I don't know what to expect of the 2nd hour.

I've also signed up to a fund raising challenge Sweat Every Day in November, part of Stand Up To Cancers fundraising for Cancer Research.  Any donations can be made through https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/suzannes-giving-page-7633?message_header=&signature=&message_body=   I might video a few of the workouts but I'll be putting a list on here and facebook of what I get up to.
